  • How do I order the Hive?

    Each HIVE system is adapted to the individual needs of the customer. In this way, we ensure that each HIVE has the optimum configuration for the respective application and thus the maximum customer benefit. We place particular emphasis on individual and personal support right from the start. 

    Thanks to our modular system and lean production processes, we can deliver a HIVE system perfectly equipped for your purposes and environment within 12 to 30 weeks.

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEE THE HIVE LIVE IN ACTION BEFORE BUYING?

    Yes! If, after the first impressions from our pictures, videos and brochures, you would like to learn more about the HIVE, you are cordially invited to get to know our system in a personal demonstration together with our (development) team. A product presentation at your premises is also possible.

  • WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIME OF YOUR PRODUCTS

    The delivery time of a basic HIVE system is about 12-30 weeks. Depending on the configuration and individual equipment, it can lead to longer development and delivery times. We would be happy to discuss the specific delivery time with you.

  • Order process – Step1

    After conclusion of the contract, your HIVE system will be delivered within 12 – 30 weeks.

  • Order process – Step 2

    Identify and define a 30m2 area as the location and base for the HIVE system.

    If necessary, create a concreted or gravelled and horizontal foundation,

    Foundation fencing
    – assembly, mounting and installation of the HIVE, by HIVE-Systems GmbH.

    • Power connection (3-phase alternating current / 16 amp)
    • Internet connection (100 Mbit download rate/ 40 – 50 Mbit upload rate) (alternatively we deliver the HIVE with a 5G or Starlink system)

FAQ

  • WHAT ARE THE HIVE APPLICATION AREAS?

    Repetitive tasks controlled by the HIVE, such as site security, fire protection and inspections, can be carried out without staff deployment. This approach reduces costs and provides all-round protection for the site and employees.

    The HIVE is designed to spend 95% of its time in the air through automated and low battery set-up time. This makes flying drone tasks possible 24/7, 365 days a year.

  • DO I BUY THE HIVE WITH DRONE AND CAMERA?

    You can buy, rent or lease the HIVE or obtain a complete service package.

    The additional flight operation service as well as support and maintenance services are invoiced to you in a fixed monthly price.

  • FOR WHICH TERRAINS IS THE HIVE SUITABLE AND WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ITS USE?

    For almost all factory sites, open-cast mining areas, as well as agricultural and forestry areas.

    The prerequisite for the installation of the HIVE, is a paved, level area of
    30 sqm, as well as electricity (400V, 16 A CEE socket) and internet access on your premises. Alternatively, we can supply the HIVE with a 5G or Starlink system.

  • IS AUTOMATED DRONE FLIGHT PERMITTED BY LAW?

    Yes, as of 01.01.2021, flights beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), i.e. controlled via the internet, are permitted EU-wide, subject to conditions.

    When you hire us, we organise all permits in advance to ensure smooth use.

  • WHAT HAPPENS DURING RAIN AND STORMS?

    Permanent weather tracking allows the system to react to weather influences, and the flying drone is protected from very strong weather influences in the HIVE.

    In moderate to severe weather and rain conditions, the flying drone can still be used.

  • CAN I BECOME A TECHNOLOGY PARTNER?

    Are you a technology company interested in working with us or would like to offer infrastructural services as a Drone-as-a-Service provider? Our vision is holistic air traffic management. The HIVE should therefore serve as the link between as many players as possible. That is why our approach is based on an open API ecosystem. Both software and modular hardware interfaces have been created to support your products and services with the HIVE. The HIVE was specially designed for infrastructural use.
